ALDI recently reopened its Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown store, unveiling a new, larger format with an expanded footprint of 1,625m² and a complete refurbishment to meet the latest layout and fit-out specifications.
The extensive upgrade included demolition, structural modifications, and the installation of new flooring, ceilings, lighting, and wall panels. Systems for electrical, data, security, mechanical, refrigeration, and hydraulics were upgraded, alongside the addition of custom joinery, shop fittings, and new registers to achieve the refreshed design.
Despite the challenges of a compressed schedule and procurement lead times, Evolve’s team demonstrated agility, completing the de-fit and re-fit under a split-shift, 24-hour schedule within just 23 days.
